DIRECTING ARTS

DIRECTING ARTS was formed in 2010 by Stephen Bayly, director, producer, and former director of the prestigious National Film and Television School in Britain. Stephen is a professor at the International Film and Television School in Cuba, and, as a result of his teaching there, in collaboration with Maria Gowland, Directing Arts’ has gained a solid reputation throughout Latin America.

The company offers a variety of workshops and coaching services to develop the collaborative work between directors and actors. The courses provide practical tools for creating truthful, in the moment performances, for film and stage. Directing Arts’ methods are largely based on the teachings of the legendary American acting teacher Sanford Meisner.

Our teachers are based quite widely globally: London, New York, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, and Havana.
